You maybe selling a property or buying your first home and in both cases you will need to find a Solicitor that will do a great job for a fair price.
It’s All About Service
The majority of Sellers and Buyers are unsure when to instruct a Solicitor as they do not want to incur costs unless they have an offer accepted.
Maybe instructing a Solicitor at offer stage is a little too late, as on instruction you will be sent a Client care pack and terms of engagement. You will then need to return the signed terms and at this stage you probably think that the conveyance can start. It can but initially it’s about you.
Your instructed Solicitor will need to carry out ID checks on you.
So in reality the conveyance actually starts on your property some 2 weeks after your initial instruct.
On the ball and plan to return your paperwork promptly? then the time will be reduced to a week to start.
Can this be improved?
